Orion

AuRico Gold’s Orion development property is one of the larger contiguous concessions – 104,000 hectares – in the Sierra Madre Occidental.

Orion is located approximately 110 km north-northwest of Tepic, the capital of Nayarit, Mexico. This advanced gold and silver development project is also about 125 km south of the famous Tayoltita district, which has reserves reported to be in excess of 20 million gold equivalent ounces.

A preliminary economic assessment indicates the potential for an underground operation.
